Love these two!! Showing Sarah the local bazaar.
Our kids love “Aunt Sarah” :) It’s been so refreshing having friends visit us.
Four weeks ago our neighbors celebrated their anniversary. They asked me when ours was and how many years we’ve been married.Today their children brought us these beautiful yellow roses. (Which are my favorite!) Celebrating seven years with my incredible husband!
BREAD-It’s what’s for dinner! It’s fresh, cheap and right out of the oven!
Our first tree swing made by these sweet girls.
We’ve been exchanging dishes of food for a while now, but it wasn’t till I made homemade brownies and chocolate chip cookies (which they’ve never had) that anyone wanted the recipe. These are my kind of people!
Every day Dean meets with his language helper for several hours to learn Turkish. I’m very proud of him and his tenacious spirit to keep plugging away at it even on discouraging days.
Finally. My new language helper:)
This guy takes a lot of pleasure and pride in serving ice cream. He’s using a long metal rod to serve (and tease) our kids.
Yavaş, yavaş. Slowly, slowly as they say in Turkish. Learning a new language (and culture) can be a slow and long process, but deeply rewarding when you actually understand someone for the first time.
