So thankful for these people:)
Today is Teacher Appreciation Day at all the local schools. Having been a teacher, I was excited to be on this end of thanking his teachers for all their hard work. We’ve appreciated how much his teachers have worked with him and with us to make his first experience at school a positive one:)
Levi with his “language helpers” :) (Süyleman is on his right)
Me: So, have made any good friends in your class? L: (straining to pronounce) yeah, Süleyman. Me: oh cool, does he speak any English? L: uh…no, just Turkish. Me: So…do you understand him? L:(silence, then with a matter-of-fact look) well, mom, he’s my language helper.
Our village and our home.
They usually celebrate with a military parade.
Yesterday was TRNC Republic Day. Kids marched from various schools as well as the military.
The air show was rained out, but they didn’t miss the opportunity to hit up every mud puddle from the harbor to our car. ️
This adorable kid is Kadriye’s son, Rüzgar. We started doing a little Jillian Michaels before our lessons:)
Took the family to the harbor this afternoon. The kids are loving time with the grandparents:)
