Snow upon the mountains. ️️
From my hospital window. Last week, I had a painful rash and spot, but we couldn’t figure out what it was. It wasn’t till two days ago that they realized it was Lyme Disease, stage 1. It is rare for this area and even more rare that they discover it in this stage. So grateful that my body reacted so much and that they caught it early on and can treat it. Thankful for neighbors who took me to the ER, translated for me and patiently stayed with me until Dean could come. Thankful for the doctors and nurses who have helped me even though we could barely speak each other’s language. And thankful for a God who heals and gives me unexpected joy through it. Thank you for your prayers.
I remember holding Melissa when she was just a baby and now she’s already 9! For 10 years we could barely communicate with Mehmet’s family, but today we were encouraged that we could finally talk with them in a little Turkish. Still a ways to go, but definitely encouraging:)
